Get to Know the Adware

If you notice the unknown web page in your computer  it means  your web browser began opening lots of advertisements from unknown sources. These problems with your computer is mainly caused by adware which is sometimes called ‘ad-supported’ software,  and which is often sneaks on the personal computer bundled with the free software. This could get annoying, so you probably eager to know how to get rid of this ad-supported software as well as delete pop-up ads.

How to manually remove

  1. Open the File Explorer.
  2. Navigate to C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(unique Mozilla profile ID).
  3. Locate and then delete a file called prefs.js.
  4. Go to C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default.
  5. Delete files entitled:
    a) Preferences.
    b) Secure Preferences.
    c) Web Data.
  6. Click the Windows button.
  7. Type regedit into a search box and then select it.
  8. Navigate to to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main.
  9. Right-click a registry value entitled Start Page and select Modify.
  10. Replace the unwanted URL with a new one and then click OK.
  11. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{0633EE93-D776-472f-A0FF-E1416B8B2E3A}.
  12. Modify the unwanted URL’s in the following registry values:
    a) FaviconURL.
    b) FaviconURLFallback.
    c) TopResultURL.
    d) URL.
  13. Right-click your Recycle Bin and select Empty Recycle Bin.

9. Click OK if your system asks whether you want to run SpyRemover Pro software.
10. Run SpyRemover Pro and perform a full system scan.
11. Once all the malicious infections are detected, click Fix Threats. SpyRemover Pro will ask you to register the software.
12. By registering SpyRemover Pro you will also be able to protect your computer from other potential threats. Once you have registered the program, the malware will be removed. Reboot your PC to fully implement the malware removal procedure.
