Gifs have never been more popular than they are today.
Thanks to websites like Buzzfeed, we’ve been conditioned to believe that lengthy YouTube videos are bad and reading articles with long paragraphs is evil.
In any case, a gif is a good way to quickly convey a point. Whether you’re trying to make someone laugh or capturing a single entertaining moment in a video, there are plenty of good reasons to make a gif.
Thanks to a new website, it’s never been easier to create a gif from a YouTube video.

gif

Today, I’m going to show you how to use that website to easily create a gif in just a few seconds:
Step 1) Open any YouTube video and copy and paste the URL to that video
Step 2) Add “Gif” to the start of that URL. If your YouTube video URL is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gD-nzHy2DdU, then you would write that URL as https://www.gifyoutube.com/watch?v=gD-nzHy2DdU
Step 3) Once you visit that “Gif” URL, you’re taken to a gif creation page. Then, simply play that video until you get to the moment where you want to create a gif.
Step 4) Pause the video and the “Start time” will automatically appear in the entry area. Then, choose how long you want your gif to be in seconds, and click “Create gif”
That’s it! It’s a ridiculously simple way to “gif” your favorite YouTube videos or show something ridiculous to your friend without forcing the indignity of a 30 second YouTube video upon them.
