What is Scarab [email protected] ransomware? And how does it implement its attack?

The encryption begins once it finds the aforementioned targeted files. It then appends the [email protected] extension to every affected file. Following file encryption, it releases a text file named “HOW TO RECOVER ENCRYPTED FILES – [email protected]” that states:

How does Scarab [email protected] ransomware spread online?
Judging from the success in spreading new strains of Scarab ransomware, it seems that its creators will keep using malicious spam email campaigns in spreading this dangerous ransomware threat. Thus, you must be extra careful in opening emails no matter who sent them as cyber crooks these days have learned to disguise their malware-laden emails to trick users into opening the email and downloading the obfuscated file.
