Jokeroo ransomware is written in the C++ programming language using WinAPI. According to the cyber crooks behind this threat, Jokeroo ransomware can removes all static detections of security programs to prevent them from interrupting the attack. It encrypt all the files in a targeted computer using a combination of the AES 256 and RSA 2048 encryption algorithm except for the system files. It uses AES 256 cipher for file encryption while it uses RSA 2048 to encrypt the decryption key. It also modifies the Windows Registry so that every time you start your computer, it will automatically start searching and encrypting new files as well as removable media. At the time of writing, Jokeroo ransomware is yet to be decrypted by malware experts so there is no free decryption tool available.
